The Prize of Age

Image
Age is the advent of life, Strengthening the future, a precious rite.  The original dialect that marks the start, Of a centenary, a journey to the heart. In the absence of age, life is nothing, Without life, age is meaningless, a hollow ring. But tonight, Noble One, your milestone begins, A celebration of life, love, and joyful kin. Lighting a hundred candles, a symbol so bright. More valuable than silver and gold in sight. The flames bring light, joy, and hope to all,  A beacon in the darkness, standing tall. A hundred steps of cake, a beautiful sight. Shared with loved ones, a true delight. A hundred chairs and tables, a feast to behold, A celebration of life, young and old. Noble One, we honor you tonight, A hundred colors of red, a carpet so bright. Your footsteps sparkle with joy and cheer, A hilarious moment, one to hold dear. The twittering sounds of birds in the grove,  Sweet melodies that pitch into our hearts, a love. You're a true centenarian, a ...

Merriment Mine Merriment

Image
Merriment mine Merriment, We were born adventurous, bold and free,  To build a territory, where dreams can be. We’ll sit at the table, with hearts full of cheer. And bring merriment, to banish all fear,  As though we’d never been here before, Our spirits renewed, our souls restored,  Our breath in our nostrils, like smoke will rise,  We’ll live in our father’s land, with open eye.  In a realm where no humans reside in the past, Our enemies will withdraw, and flee at last,  The kingdom shall establish, its roots deep and strong. And merriment, will echo all day long. This poem was written in 2021 from a novel title  The Old Jack of Merriment .

The Eyes of the Divine Faded Not.

Image
In the depths of my soul, where shadows roam. The divine being whispers, "You are not alone,"   The things of God, the mysteries of the heart are made known to me: a slow and gentle start. When darkness falls, and troubles beset me, His eyes awaken, like stars in the midnight sea. My heart, a flame that flickers in the night is fanned by His love, a warm and guiding light. Though the journey's long, and winding be the road, His power and divine spirit lead me through life's darkest load.  The mountain top, a symbol of His lofty throne, beckons me to climb, to leave my fears, my doubts, my unknown. With every step, my soul, a canvas, is painted bright, With colors of hope, of joy, of love, that shine like beacons in the night.  The eyes of the divine, the eyes of life, never fade. A constant presence that guides me through life's joys and shades. In the darkest hours, when fears and doubts assail, He lights the candlelight, a gentle, loving gale. My sou...

A Dance of A Noble Prince

It’s time to go home with a noble prince yet to be, when my heart is not yet dark, There is no place like home, home sweet home, If the deities grab you down, Singing melodious songs for you, There is no place like home, home sweet home, Though the ocean's waves rise on you, glacial hills swell on your path, There is no place like home, home sweet home, If the hearts of darkness fell on you, Time to go home forgotten, There is no place like home, home sweet home, Though the leafs are dancing with you, the starmoon and the ancient luminaries, did not yet shine on your pathway, There is no place like home, home sweet home, If the fairies sang for you, Winning your gut to their home unknown, There is no place like home, home sweet home, Yet, if a tent built by your ancestors is about to collapse, made your way through the back door: come home, let’s celebrate your victory, There is no place like home, Home sweet home, Though the wedding bells of nymphs rank on you, building huts a...
