In this besieged city, we hung our hopes on high. A symbol of our resilience, our mournful sigh, The bombs of war, a constant, deadly stream.  A reminder of our struggle, our future unseen. Through streets once filled with laughter, now death does reign.   The echoes of our footsteps, a haunting, mournful refrain.  We search for solace, a respite from the pain.
