A Dance of A Noble Prince

It’s time to go home with a noble prince yet to be, when my heart is not yet dark,
There is no place like home, home sweet home,

If the deities grab you down,
Singing melodious songs for you,
There is no place like home, home sweet home,

Though the ocean's waves rise on you, glacial hills swell on your path,
There is no place like home, home sweet home,

If the hearts of darkness fell on you,
Time to go home forgotten,
There is no place like home, home sweet home,

Though the leafs are dancing with you, the starmoon and the ancient luminaries, did not yet shine on your pathway,
There is no place like home, home sweet home,

If the fairies sang for you,
Winning your gut to their home unknown,
There is no place like home, home sweet home,

Yet, if a tent built by your ancestors is about to collapse, made your way through the back door: come home, let’s celebrate your victory,
There is no place like home,
Home sweet home,

Though the wedding bells of nymphs rank on you, building huts around you, thinking it’s a home,
There is no place like home, home sweet home,

If nations establish war against each other, calling on you to join as a villain,
There is no place like home,
Home sweet home.

✍️Author's Note
“A Dance of A Noble Prince” is a royal poem woven into the soul of my novel, We Hate to Depart, A Winter Night's Dreams. It is sung by a mother whose son is lost in bondage—a prayer, a prophecy, and a plea for his return. Her voice echoes through the winter night, reminding us that no matter how far we wander, there is no place like home.
